10 Random and Trivial Things I Am Into Rightthissecond

Oh, man, you guys. Things have been a bit hectic lately; I'm in the middle of approximately 38 things at once, and--BLAH, BLAH, NO ONE CARES, SELF. Anyway. While I attempt to extricate myself from the metaphorical weeds, here, some stuff I've been digging on.

(Besides you.)
(Diggin' on me.)
(Oh, like NO ONE ELSE has numerous TLC songs committed to memory.)
(Like that's weird, or something.)

1.Kettle Chips - Specifically, Buffalo Bleu flavor. Oh, my word.

2. Old Navy Slub Knit Skirt - I have purchased it in three colors. Hello, spring/summer staple.

3.Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA beer - It makes me want to stand up and applaud.

4. Fresh Strawberry Flowers perfume -My new spring scent! I will have you know that it smells not a whit like either strawberries or flowers. IT IS SO COMPLEX, YOU GUYS. And so am I. SO AM I.

5. Kashi GO Lean Chocolate Turtle Roll bars - I...I think these are supposed to be meal replacement bars? Or something? Basically, I eat them like the delicious candy bars they are.

6. Method Rice Milk + Mallow baby shampoo - Natural, smells amazing, and the cap is a hair-washing cup. THE CAP IS A HAIRWASHING CUP.

7. Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter - Heavenly.

8. Crotchety, grizzled old Frank Lapidus on Lost - Whatever, the heart wants what it wants.

9. Nars Lip Gloss in Easy Lover - I'm honestly curious if there's someone out there on whom this DOESN'T look good.

10. Vampire Weekend's "Giving Up The Gun" video - The song is fantastic on its own, but the video! The video! Jake Gyllenhaal! RZA! Joe Jonas! What's not to love?

What's rocking your world rightthissecond? Makeup, songs, snacks, gross old man crushes...nothing is off limits. (Especially songs...I'm in one of my music ruts again.)

That Method baby shampoo is the best, scent, EVER. Mine, however, does not have the ingenious hair washing cup cap. Boo.

My current loves:

Burt's Bees Pomegranate & Soy shampoo/conditioner. It smells *heavenly*

Music wise I can't get enough of The Xx. Specifically "VCR" and "Heart Skipped a Beat".

Cheddar and caramel popcorn. Local popcorn place makes it & I swoon for it.

I bought that Fresh stuff when they had a gift set a few months ago. I LOVE IT. Which is to say, if left alone with YOUR bottle and no access to my bottle, I will spray myself with your perfume. #iwritecreepytweets

Maybe it's only new to me? Anyways. Repeat! Repeat! It sounds like computers, in an awesome way.

I cannot stop listening to As Tall As Lions. Um, the whole album. On repeat. Also, when I feel like dancing: GIRL TALK. Amazing mash-ups, definitely NOT kid-friendly.

We watched the new White Stripes documentary a couple of weeks ago and now I am smitten with them again. He is so freakishly sexy and Meg is my girl crush. Plus, my husbad and I love to create stories about how they met and what their real history is. It can get pretty comical. I am also listening to a lot of old REM right now (Life's Rich Pageant and Document) but I too, am loving the new Vampire Weekend. I've also had Madder Rose, The Sundays, Heartless Bastards on my player. The other day, I was listening to Belly....I forgot how awesome that album was. I love Pacifica and my favorite fragrance is Tibetan Mountain Temple. I also like Bergamot and Citrus by Fresh. I also got a great skirt from Old Navy, but it was the linen one with the pockets. I have a feeling I will be wearing it every day! Sorry for rambling....

Mmm, dogfish head 90 minute is the tops.

Kettle Chips used to make a beer-cheese flavored chip that was like a vice make specially for me. Discontinued though. Probably for the best.

Hi Metalia! I found you from The Skinny on Aiming Low last week... and I have gotten lost reading your archives ever since. Can't get enough!

1. The method baby shampoo... delicious. Double up on the deliciousness with the LOTION. It makes me want to eat my baby all up. And method fuzzy peach for my big boy. mmmm.... babies.

2. I second justshireen on the burts bees pomegranate soy shampoo. My husband got it for me for Christmas. Yum.

3. I don't wear makeup too often, as my eyes water constantly if I'm within 8 feet of powder. However- the lips are always dressed, usually with a yummy tinted gloss. Currently: Yes To Carrots C Me Blush lip tint in Chocolate Kiss. I can't even describe how much I love this stuff.

4. "Skinny Love" by Bon Iver.

5. Kiss my face hand creme in grapefruit & bergamot. IT SMELLS LIKE FROOT LOOPS, Y'ALL. To the point at which one of my (male) colleagues came into my office after I put it on my hands, and said "are you eating... froot loops?"

6. Godiva chocoiste dark chocolate pearls with mint.

I saw the Method shampoo/body wash at Target the other day and walked away. WTF was I thinking. I need to smell it next time.

I love The Body Shop tinted moisturizer. My skin tone is uneven and even this light coverage helps a lot.

Love Vampire Weekend.

Currently obsessed with the beer shandy (2/3 pale ale, 1/3 lemonade or fizzy lemon soda) I know how it sounds, but trust me. Bacon bits, or fake bacon flavored soy chips really, and the smell of Morrocanoil conditioner. Oh, and J.R. Watkins liptints (at Target) they are what Burt's Bees tints wish they could be.

I second the Mumford & Sons recommendation -- I basically love every song. Start with Little Lion Man, Sister, and White Blank Page. Very good for toe-tapping on public transport.

I have also become obsessed with edamame (the frozen kind from Trader Joe's, $1.99 a bag.) Yeah, I know, 2004 called and it wants its popular super-food back.)

I am listening to Ke$ha and Amanda Blank on repeat right now.

And I can never see Frank Lapidus as anything other than the crazy Lawnmower Man.

I LOVE everything about Pacifica. My favorite smell is Brazilian Mango Grapefruit. I could EAT it. Ok, well maybe not. Thanks for the tip on the skirts, I think I'll get a few. Good thing we don't live in the same city LOL.

I am currently obsessing over:
NutLand Almond Crunch-Oh my word, so good.

Le Madeline Almond Croissant- mmm, buttery and nutty perfection

GLEE Soundtracks Volumes 1 and 2- So awesome, dance in your car music

Ru Paul's Drag Race-the very best show on TV... maybe ever

As far as make-up, Dolce & Gabbana Mascara- worth the splurge (although not ridiculously expensive-yea!). Your eyelashes have never looked so good!

Those chips better not be a local thing. NEED. And I have that skirt in black. My hips are not flattered by other colors. And anything Vampire weekend I LOVE so thank you for the video tip- I have not seen!

I think you should know that I can pretty much see the Kettle Chips factory from my office. It's located on KETTLE WAY.

Love all the great music recommendations!
I currently can't stop listening to Fictionist- they just released a new album called Lasting Echo. Really really excellent.

Dogfish Head 60 minute is fantastic too. Once sampled the 120 minute, was not a big fan. Hmmmm...beer...

Music: Tegan & Sara - Hyper; Walking with a Ghost; My Number (I could go on with T&S), Boy George's cover of Everything I Own, Lenka - The Show, The Kooks - Naive.

Those Buffalo Bleus are the best and my fave, but their Spicy Thai is quite delicious too!

Song: "Madder Red" by Yeasayer is good, and um, I just downloaded a ridiculous amount from Pitchfork..

I don't know about other stuff, I just had a baby and have yet to find/afford exquisite loungewear and cutting down on extravagant purchases. GAH. I'll have to try that shampoo and the perfume sounds great.

This spring, I'm really in search for the perfect kelly green embellished (flower) cardigan, dyeing my hair-it's way too dark. I wish I could dye it a cool pastel color like on hairthursday.com and not feel ridiculous.
